o-man Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Attempted to make it look like the one parked in garage. Couldn't get glass to stay put. I need to get a magnifying glass and a much steadier hand for the rub strips.
The Creative Explorer Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 much steadier hand for the rub strips. No need to if you mask them. I can't make a straight line either, the trick is to mask the strips and windowrubbers, then paint. Gives a nice smooth and straight line.
Shelby 427 1965 Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Looks good, masking and painting if you don't have a steady hand would really set it off
Onzatrip Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Looks so good!! Am looking at getting one of those kits how was it? Was it prepainted?
o-man Posted May 13, 2013 Author Posted May 13, 2013 (edited) Looks so good!! Am looking at getting one of those kits how was it? Was it prepainted? No, molded in white. I think there are three versions of this kit. I have the other black box top and there is also one with a white car. Fairly simple. Will make either LHD or RHD. Obviously model from JDM land has a back seat which wasn't offered here. I will not make the same masking mistake on the second one I build. Will be more of a current style Import painted blue with white wheels and red seats. If anyone has suggestions for lowering rear, which has a metal axle, I'm all ears. Edited May 13, 2013 by o-man
