Hello,

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this but....

Low light is always a challenge to photographers. Fast action is another challenge. Combine both and you have quite a challenge for a photographer. The best race car is worthless without a good griver. So is photo equipment. :D

Here are some night time pictures I took at the Petit LeMans race. This was my first time with the new camera, so hopefully if I can make it next year I'll have even more experience with it.

Lookin' great, man!! :D:huh: I have always admired night time motorsport shots. One question though. Were you alowed to use a flash for some of those? It kinda looks like it...

If so, I wonder what the drivers thought of it.

All but the most sophisticated (and expensive) flash units are worthless in these conditions. My big flash unit was hopeless at this zoom setting and shutter speeds. You can see in the 4th picture my flash only got to the concrete barrier. But people were shooting flashes everywhere so I guess the drivers are ok with it. We were about 40-50 feet from the track itself.

Thanks,
