Kennyboy Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Working on this for a Community build. Progress pics:
Kennyboy Posted May 31, 2013 Author Posted May 31, 2013 Some more: Next will be the large amount of decals that will complete the car.
Jeremy Jon Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 (edited) Very nice work, looks good! Don't take this as criticism, but the shut-lines are a bit dark IMO For a white body I usually water down a lot for that, and apply several light coats to build up a nice subtle grey, and it gives a gradient of the shadow also, and it works over wheel decals too for a slight 'wear' look Well done! No problem, I just matched the method that others who built this used. They wont look as dark when almost every square inch is covered with red white and blue decals. Can you tell I am looking forward to the decals?
crazyrichard Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 cool , i agree on the panellines being a tad to dark but i also believe when its all covered in decals it wont look as intimidating as it does now ... one day i would love to build a porsche like this without the big wing and more like a road car .. that body is awsome with the bolt on flares .. always loved that

Thanks Richard, I like that look too. Someday I'll probably do the roadcar version too.
