epi4561 Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 What are ya gonna call that? A Belairmo? G You got me thinking! I changed the name to CAM-AIR... That's funny... As I was looking at the progress of this build (Absolutely amazing build, by the way...) I couldn't stop thinking Belmaro Z28. A 57 Chevy Belmaro Z28 has a nice little ring to it. IMO.. Once again, Absolutely amazing...

Ira Posted August 8, 2013 Author Posted August 8, 2013 Ira... I am enjoying watching this come together. This coming weekend I am going to look for some Deals wheels kits at a local swap meet. I really think it would just be a fun build. I remember seeing a '69 Chevelle at a show years ago, it was purple and I always told myself I could find it I have to pick it up But Hopefully i will be able to find a cool one to pick up. Thanks for the inspiration Ira. Thank You Chris! Looking forward to seeing your Deals Wheels Project...
Ira Posted August 8, 2013 Author Posted August 8, 2013 When you us ethe zap a gap for gluedo you use anything else is have it dry so fast. John Pol Yes, I sprinkle Baking Powder on the wet glue. It dries in a couple seconds...
Ira Posted August 8, 2013 Author Posted August 8, 2013 (edited) Woo Hoo, another Cool 'n' Creative build from Ira's bench! The Camaro and '57 Chevy fit together surprisingly well, and I bet this will be another winner when finished. Great work again! Thanks Niko! Yeah, I was very happy to see how well the 2 styles mixed together... Edited August 8, 2013 by Ira

Mooneyzs Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Thank You Chris! Looking forward to seeing your Deals Wheels Project... Hey Ira.... I have been in California visitng family for the past 3 weeks and I hit up a Hobby shop in Gilroy and found these two and had to pick them up. Hope you don't mind me Hijacking your thread to show you the ones I found. I really want to find that '57 Chevy and if I can a few others like the VWs. I love that '53 Ford Pick up you showed. Here are the two I scored: I am thinking about adding a Cowl Hood on the Camaro as an idea right now

Ira Posted September 14, 2013 Author Posted September 14, 2013 TOO WIDE! After test fitting the headlights I found that the Camaro Fenders are still a too Wide in the Front... I used a Micro-Mart Mini-Sanding Disk to remove a little from the Fenders. You can also use this Sanding Disk to Blend the Removed Area back into the Fenders. Here is the front end after Shaping and Sanding the Front Fenders. More Coming...
Ira Posted September 14, 2013 Author Posted September 14, 2013 SHARP NOSE! The lines of the Camaro Nose are very Sharp and Straight. I'm going to see if I can Smooth out those lines to blend in a little better. I used the Mini-Sanding Disk and Sanding Boards to get the right shape on the Nose. Then I went ahead and Sanded the rest of the body. Now you can see the low spots that need more putty. Notice the Circle Shapes on the roof, where I sanded. The original windows were glued in with Too Much Glue, and this is what happened! More Coming...
Ira Posted September 15, 2013 Author Posted September 15, 2013 That is pretty cool, Ira! Thanks Tony!
