Didn't know where else to post this. Check out this pic. This is my '68 Imperial I recently restored. I stripped the chrome because it had gone bad. All of these parts came from the same promo. I guess Jo-Han had boxes of parts already cast, then they chromed as needed. You can see all the various colors of plastic used.

Jersey, this one is already restored. But, you gave me an idea.............I should do one bare flesh...... :blink: .......that would be pretty wild!

I've seen this. JoHan was good at this. I have a 74 Hornet hatchback promo as well and the wheels in front are red under the chrome and the rear wheels are green. The body is white.

Jo-Han was known fo not wasting any plastic. If they had a bit of whatever color plastic ready and in the machine, they would inject it into the molds for sprues for the chrome parts. After all they were to be sent to the plater anywho.

I've seen this. JoHan was good at this. I have a 74 Hornet hatchback promo as well and the wheels in front are red under the chrome and the rear wheels are green. The body is white.

Funny you mention the Hornet promo, see Under Glass.........I just posted a restored '73 Hornet.
