Dragfreak Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 What colors do you guys normally mix to achieve the really light weird green color they have? I'm trying to replicate the real color on a dominator
Ace-Garageguy Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 (edited) Eastwood makes a goldish spray called Carb Renew that's a fairly good representation of the gold-colored chromate or phosphate finish, which is a plating process. To get the exact color you're after, I'd suggest mixing yellow and green chromate primers (typically used inside aircraft models), maybe some gold, grey, or other military drab colors until you're satisfied. Mixed thin and shot over a gray primer base, to not-complete-coverage, would give the most realistic look. Just a thought. Edited August 7, 2013 by Ace-Garageguy
PappyD340 Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Alclad makes a color called pale burnt metal, which is pretty close also.
my80malibu Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Model Master 'Jet Exhaust'. This is my choice as well
