Dr. Cranky Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 (edited) I am sure you have heard of it by now, but it still is one of the most beautiful magazines out there . . . Edited October 30, 2007 by DamnCranky
Ken Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Best 50 or so bucks a year yet. I started with issue 15 or so. I haven't even tried for the first twelve or so. Prices are outrageous on Ebay and the hard bound set that they sold a while back was out of my price range. I still anticipate every issue almost as much as I do with Model Cars mag
dub Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 With ya 100%! I discovered this fabulous publication in the airport waiting for my plane to Seattle back in June. The Best reference material for building rods and customs there is! (Gee, sounds like I like it or something!)
Modellpularn Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 Yes, it's the greatest hot rod book! I have all the issues from #1..... Recently renewed my subscription for another year!
Ken Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 Is the newest issue the one with Kirk Hammet's Buick on the cover/covers. The latest ad for the Journal shows issue Thirty Eight. I can't remember the car on the cover that they show in the ad. I want to make sure that I haven't missed an issue!!!!
Modellpularn Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 My latest issue is # Thirty Seven, it has James Hetfield's Buick on one cover(back), and a 1935 Ford on the front, but it can be the other way around also.
Guest rick r Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Met the publisher at SEMA last week, he said they just did their first price increase in 15 years, still the absolute best car magazine in the UNIVERSE!!! I freelance for Muscle Car Review, we shoot for that level, never reach it... RJ's photography is just stunning! Magazine's worth twice its price!
