HotRodaSaurus Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Is there an easy way to represent 'fade' graphics as represented on the decals used on todays cars and bikes. That is to say, a pattern fading from black to grey where the colour change happens through the density of dots making up the colours. I am trying to represent a 1/1 decal used on a 2005 Suzuki Hayabusa and building a model of my bike using the Tamiya model Thanks, John
Mike Kucaba Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 Try making a transition mask with varying sizes of mesh. Either in fabric or brass screen? Just how large does the pixilation get to? Do you have a pic? The reason I ask is because the kit I'm working on has decal to help with that.
zenrat Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Print it as a decal on clear decal paper. Micro$oft Powerpoint is perfectly capable of producing a fade and is common enough software that you probably have access to it.
