Diesel Gypsy Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Hi Guys. I've been away a while, hospital mainly but also goofing around on another forum in the U.K. Heres a quick update on the Kenny. When I got back to my bench I found that the paint on the cab had cracked. It had crazed all over. I used an acrylic auto paint rattle can over brand primer. I've used the same brand many times before & never had a problem, wierd huh. So I've stripped the paint off back to the bare plastic. Now I'm ready to start again. This time I think I'll use acrylics & enamels through my air brush. The cab in its original guise. The picture does'nt show the crazing well, but its there After paint stripping, & ready to start again A shot of the engine
mackinac359 Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Nothing like a paint failure to ruin the day. Tim
Old Albion Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 Dave, Paint is not one of my specialities. So I can understand your irritation. Good Luck with the build and good to see you back. Best Wishes
