comp1839 Posted March 9, 2014 Author Posted March 9, 2014 the front struts are hand machined. front rotors. front brake assy's. i machined the front wheels.
comp1839 Posted March 9, 2014 Author Posted March 9, 2014 the rear wheels and beadlocks are hand machined. as are the rear tires them selves. i think i've hit all the big ticket items. as you can see this is a very labor intensive build. if you want to see more on the build you can view my photobucket. there is a more complete set of pics and most of my other builds are on there. hope this helps get you up to speed.
blackbeard Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 love all those pictures you have and it inspires me to push myself
comp1839 Posted March 11, 2014 Author Posted March 11, 2014 glad to hear that henry. got the other collector done. pretty happy with the results. the scale on these works out to a 2.5" primary (which is a little small) and a 5" diameter collector. also here's another shot of the dry sump plumbing from the bottom, for those of you that are interested.
blackbeard Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 (edited) those are great collectors that you have made and it just amazes me more and more I see this wonderful build unfold before my eyes wanted to say how greatful I am come to you and ask your advice and that's priceless to me Edited March 11, 2014 by phantom1

comp1839 Posted March 14, 2014 Author Posted March 14, 2014 well, here's a status report on the headers. i thought this would be a slow process and it seems i was right. it's one of those details that just needs to look as good as you can make it in large scale. you can see them pretty plainly so....... here's where i'm at. i have three primary tubes attached and working on the fourth. then its's off to the other side.
