comp1839 Posted April 13, 2014 Author Posted April 13, 2014 henry thanks! joe thanks! i like the black too. it also machines very crisply on the edge. joe thank you! o.k. so, here's the finished product. the lettering is a decal that was painstakingly produced by a good friend.
Magic Photos Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 The wheels look great Dave, I'll take a pair in 1/16th scale. LOL very nice work.
dpride Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 (edited) I knew you would remake the wheels. That tiny "mistake" would be on your mind for the rest of the build. Now it matches the rest of the car. Have to say, it's looking pretty good. Edited April 13, 2014 by dpride

Mooneyzs Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Dave.... these wheels are so impreasive... wow they are beauties. I admire you for being a little like me and redoing them . I love that you anodized them and then post machined them, the finish is fantastic. I swear they look like the real thing. Keep up the great work.
Ray_Ray Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Great work man! Every time I look back at this build, I'm blown away by your skill. Very impressive buddy!
vintagedragfan Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 hi Dave, I think you have out done yourself again on this build!!! everything looks spectacular! lovin in bro
comp1839 Posted April 19, 2014 Author Posted April 19, 2014 chris, thanks buddy!!! that was the effect i was looking for. hehe. james thanks! bill thank you sir! so, those front wheels needed tires. i hate doing tires 'cause it takes soooo much time and it's just a flat out dirty job. when you're done though you can come up with a pair of o.k. tires. i also couldn't help sticking the pieces together to get a better idea of the complete look.
blackbeard Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 I second that unbelievable job dave those look fantastic
comp1839 Posted April 20, 2014 Author Posted April 20, 2014 thanks guys!!!! glad you like it. here's a shot i'm particularly fond of.
blackbeard Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 that's looking fantastic with every update and that is the money shot
GoatGuy Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 Dave - yes those tires are ok. You crack me up. They look great. And the mock up shots - what a phenomenal piece of workmanship. If you take this to NNL East as a WIP I'll kick myself for not going to stare and study it.
ScrappyJ Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 I agree...that shot is the money shot! Slap some primer on that body and you'd swear it was the real thing.
futurattraction Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 I'm with you, Dave. I love that particular shot. Keep up the phenomenal work, bud.
Magic Photos Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Fantastic work love the headers, this work of art is just plain great. Thanks Dave for everything you do and share.
