Ringwraith Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Hi all Looking for this colour to paint some early 70's Mopar muscle with. I know there are a couple of companies that make great matches BUT I live in Canada & they won't ship out of the States. :-( So I was wondering if there were any other "mainstream" options that would be a close match? (Model Master/Testors/Tamiya/Humbrol etc) Is the Model Master Auto Lacquer "Chrysler Yellow" pretty close?? I've seen a few other yellows in the MM enamel line but I'm not sure if they're in the same ballpark. Thanks Sean
Teds57 Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Sean go to NAPA and ask about duponts new acrylics they can be mixed in a spray bomb and they do all the original colors i just got a can of panther pink mixed
Ringwraith Posted August 22, 2013 Author Posted August 22, 2013 Sweet! Thanks Ted How much did that run you? Sean
Fabrux Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Elm City Hobbies is a Canadian online model store based here in NB that ships all over Canada and carries Scale Finishes paint, which has the colours you're after.
Ringwraith Posted August 22, 2013 Author Posted August 22, 2013 SWEET!! Thanks Kataranga! This must be fairly recent? I see now on Scale Finishes site there's news about this. Very excited!! Sean
Fabrux Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 (edited) I think Scott started carrying them a couple months ago. I remember him bringing some paints to a club meeting before I headed to MB for my rotation at the start of July. I don't think he has all the colours listed on his website but if you fire him an email with what colours you want he'll send you an invoice. Edited August 22, 2013 by kataranga
