hooknladderno1 Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Hi Gang, I was wondering if any such services exist here in the US? I know that I have several project ideas that would benefit from the consistency and ability of these technologies. I have heard of folks who "know someone" or have access to such equipment through work. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks! David

MachinistMark Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 We have actually made parts for a large scale model locomotive. But no not really, but only because we've never had a customer ask us to...not because we can't.
hooknladderno1 Posted September 6, 2013 Author Posted September 6, 2013 Mark, Does your company do any work with styrene?
MachinistMark Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 We haven't to my knowledge, but I don't see why we couldnt it can cut acrylic and plexiglass
vypurr59 Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 http://www.emachineshop.com/ While I have not used them for any modelcar parts. I have used them for making parts for R/C Cars. They have made parts for me out of aluminum, delron, and lexan. They have a program (for free) that you can download, use to design a part and have the part made. They also can reproduce parts shipped to them.
