Ace-Garageguy Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) 1) Part of my bathroom wall collapsed and fell into the crawlspace under the tub. The space is open to the outdoors (the feral cats live there), so when it's 18F tomorrow night, if the wind blows it's going to get a little chilly in here if I don't do a temporary patch pretty quick. I have a plan... 2) My hand-operated can opener that's older than I am is on its last legs. The machined serrations on the wheel that turns the can as you work the crank are almost worn off. I still use it because it works fine (up until now, anyway), it doesn't connect to the internet, it doesn't have any Chinese plastic parts to snap or turn gooey, or motors to burn out after a month, it gives my arthritic hands and wrists a workout to help keep them functional, and I'm cheap. I have another one around here somewhere that's only about 50 years old... It's always something. EDIT: These aren't really irks. They're just life, and I'm THANKFUL that I can still deal with them pretty easily. Edited 3 hours ago by Ace-Garageguy de-whining

With about 5 inches on the road driving the bus was a nightmare. Got back about an hour and a half late (mainly because of other drivers that should have stayed home). When I got home my wife was upset, someone drove off the road, in our yard and demolished our garden... ...Here's how the garden looks. I think this bothers me most, I built it for my wife over 20 years ago.😢 I'm really sorry to see that. And yeah, that would bother me a lot too. Nice of them to stop to see if there was any damage, accept responsibility, and offer to help rebuild it in the spring. Oh...sorry. This is 2025. Edited 3 hours ago by Ace-Garageguy
