Mustang Ii Cobra?

When I was a kid 8-9-10? I remember going to a fair and they had this Mustang II "Cobra" it was all black with green accents and a big Cobra on the hood. Looking back it was really tacky but I thought it was the coolest car.

Does anyone know if there is a decal set for that? If so which of the re-released Mustang II's would you recommend.

That is basically it but I remember a large Cobra on the hood.

The car you are thinking was the King Cobra as that had the Cobra on the hood, as far as decals go I don't know of any

but I believe MPC did amodel with the decals but I think they were red or orange,

I remember the Cobra head on the hood but the fender would have been eye level.

Thanks for the link to that site, the IMSA Cobra has a similar hood graphic but its the wrong color.

Who knows, that was probably 30 years ago, I can probably make the decals in the first post work. Really I've just always been amused by the uber testosterone Smokey & the Bandit Transam look on what was essentially a glorified Pinto, I don't need to make an exact duplicate, just something to have some fun with.

Keith Marks also, does the King Cobra decals as well.

He will often do them in special colors, as requested, for a small additional fee. HTH's

Best thing to do though, is to email him a sample of the color you want to make sure you get what you hope too.

I believe I have a Hotwheels or Matchbox car with the Cobra design on the hood. It is stored away with my other Hotwheels, I will try to find it today and post a pic. Maybe it will help.
