Len Woodruff Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Very nice Mike. Do you have any progress pics of how you changed the nose?
Mike Kucaba Posted October 12, 2013 Author Posted October 12, 2013 No Len, It wasn't very pretty. I think I wrapped the kit shell with a length of sheet plastic to make the extended length, then some Magic-sculpt putty, lots of sanding and I wrapped the inner shell with some brass to smooth it out on the inside. I thought the nose was tough enough, but the headrest/tailfin is really kicking my butt, I'm on my third attempt! The kit's grille teeth fit just fine by sanding them down a bit on each side. Thanks for the kind words. I was leery about posting these two as WIP
Kennyboy Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Wow Mike! That front end looks great!! Keep goin' I like what you are doing here!!

Mike Kucaba Posted October 30, 2013 Author Posted October 30, 2013 Okay, no pics but I'm still sloggin' away. Have got the headrest/ fin looking real close. I'll try and get some pics up tomorrow.
Cato Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Mike, Which primer is that? Looks tannish. Very nice too.
Mike Kucaba Posted November 6, 2013 Author Posted November 6, 2013 The primer is by SEM. It is labeled as a high build primer and comes in Buff, Grey, and White, maybe also Black. Big spray can, about $15-17.
