If I had to have a Ferrari, it'd be a white 512TR.

Funnily enough, I can't afford that. So, I'm setting out to create the closest

replica I can.

Winter is coming, which means it's too bloody cold to work outside on the Golf.. so it's model time

I'm gonna open and fabricate my own boot in the front, first time doing anything like this so it'll be fun.

So, a bit of progress. I stuck on the tunes;

and set up the model desk for workin'. iPad with reference pics at the ready!

So, after seeing this picture;

I saw that there is a line that isn't there beside the slot under the light. So, I scribed my own line in;

Then after scribing it over a lot, I got it off.

Then I got a start on the painting process:

This also shows the colour scheme - White with Tan interior.

I'm going to London for my first holiday in years on Monday for a week, hopefully I'll have more progress before then. If not, blame the GTI!

Looks like a great project. Good luck with it. Are you going to make the luggage, too?

By the way, as coincidence would have it, I finally got both "Animals" and "Vol. 4" on compact disc in just the last couple weeks.

Thanks! Maybe not that specific luggage, but I'll be making something to put in there for sure.

Two great albums. Volume 4 is definitely one of my favourite albums ever!
