chevyfever2009 Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 I don't know much about the newer stangs I'm wanting to build all the 2010 year cars and around here locally its hard to get ahold of newer kits so i was wandering whats the difference in the 06, 07, 08, 09, 2010 mustang 1:1s & the kits to me alll they change is a few things like grills and a few small things
freakshow12 Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 05-09 minor changes. 2010 was a fairly drastic sheetmetal change year so you are stuck with a 2010 kit
ScaleDale Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Check out the Timeline on Mustang Specs. It will answer most of your questions. http://www.mustangspecs.com Dale
RadialDragon Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 05-09 is the same body stye. 2010 was a new body style but still considered a S197 chassis car. The 2011 and newer however no longer had the 300 HP 4.6 3V V8. The 2011 GT's have a 5.0L 420HP motor. The way to tell the difference between the 300HP 2010 GT and the 420HP 2011 GT is the side badge. The 2010 has a "GT" Badge while the 2011 and newer GT's have a "5.0" badge..
