pharoah Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 I thought I might as well join the party. Here's some of mine. Pencil on illustration board. Thanks for looking!
lower99 Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 I cannot sayaanything.......UNBELIEVEABLE!!!!!!!!! Perfect work!
Clemi Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 This is awesome! I love the reflections you draw. The chrome is unbelievable!
Harry P. Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 I also like the Buick the best. But what's with the "sort of" erased backgrounds? A bad Photoshop job?
BluePopsicle Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Absolutely stunning work. You are a true artist.
pharoah Posted November 17, 2013 Author Posted November 17, 2013 Hey Harry, I see what you mean. That's probably because a lot of times I darken these just a touch because pencil just doesn't photgraph well. Then I go back and lighten the background because it looks gray instead of white. The 53 Corvette looks gray, but it's actually white. I must have missed that. Not the first time. They are not photshopped in any way. They look a lot better in person. Thanks for the compliments!
Speedfreak Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Great work John, you did your avatar too? What scale do you draw in?
W-409 Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 I'm speechless! Those are fantastic drawings, you've captured the shine really nicely on paint jobs and chrome parts. Nice work. My favorite is the Corvette and especially its wheels look very good to me. Nice!
pharoah Posted November 29, 2013 Author Posted November 29, 2013 Thanks guys! Gene - Yes I did my avatar too. Scale? about 1/8th...
