JTalmage Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Hi everyone, my name is Jesse. Long time model car builder/enthusiast. Never ever thought there would be a forum for them! It's amazing what google will find for you!! Anyway, I'm an average model builder, nothing extremely detailed, but still do some very nice cars. I've seen some of the extremely impressive things that some of you have posted here (yes, I lurked for a little while before joining LOL) and I must say, I'm blown away at the quality of the builds here... I started google searching ways to make my rusty cars look more authentic, found a few builds here that really inspired me, and noticed most of my results kept bringing me here... so here I am! I took nearly a 10 year break on building model cars once I got my license and got a few of the real ones! But still try to build some in my spare time when I'm not wrenching or whatever. I'm a 1/24th and 1/25th scale builder. I used to crank 1 per week out when I was younger, no job, still in middle school/high school... now I'm lucky to do 1 a month, but quality and creativity has gone up! A friend of mine and his wife recently had a baby so he spends a lot of time in the basement LOL so he set us up a small space to work side by side on models, listen to rock and roll, drink beer, and not listen to screaming babies haha! He and I used to build years ago before growing up intervened, so this is like a back in time kinda thing for us.. Anyway sorry such a long intro! Hopefully I can start posting some pics soon to show you all, plus whatever I'm working on at the time (I'm bad at jumping back and forth... so expect a lot of work in progress threads LOL) Jesse
