Hello everyone - I recently purchased a "Ohio" George 1933 WILLYS from AMT - Kit # AMT770/12 - This is a flat box issue - Inside the box was a booklet about the real car - On the last two page there are three photo's of the car with what looks like black tape dividing up the car and appears that only 1/2 of the car is done in this fashion - My question is why ? -

Any information would be great - Thanks in advance -

If I remember from that book, the photos you are talking about are the ones used for the original scale conversion of the car into a kit. The tape divided it into equal sections that could be measured and scaled down easily from photo prints. The original was done way before all this computer stuff. The car was an active racer and they probably only had time to do half in a session.
