jaydar Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Paint them installed in the body or separately??? I presume this only makes a difference on how hard that body is to get on at the end. I have had a few test fittings and i think it is pretty tight. Any of you who built this kit (pro-modeler) I would really appreciate a little advice. Thanks so much, joe.
Dwight55 Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 I would paint them separately, so you don't have any overspray on anything.
Kennyboy Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Joe, I would install the coves, then paint them first, mask off then shoot the rest of the body. If you paint them first and install after, you will end up with a separating line around the coves.
jaydar Posted December 27, 2013 Author Posted December 27, 2013 (edited) Joe, I would install the coves, then paint them first, mask off then shoot the rest of the body. If you paint them first and install after, you will end up with a separating line around the coves. In my mind, I think this is the right answer. It only depends on whether they somehow make getting the body over the chassis/interior more difficult. Maybe i have a few more test fittings in my future. Thanks, joe. jaydar Posted December 28, 2013 Author Posted December 28, 2013 Test fitting revealsfit is so good that they can be done separately. Addedadvantage is the cove chrome surround will be Much easier to do before adding the cove insert. Thanks for helping through this guys. Joe.
