Acid Tape (not exactly)

Here is the problem:

Wherever any tape or BMF touches new paint on body the adhesive removes paint particles damaging finish upon removal. Also, clear-coat does not adhere well to this finish. The paint used here is Testors in square bottle thinned with lacquer thinner then tried again with same paint thinned with Testors Enamel Thinner with equal results. Silver is the color being used. Anybody have an answer for this?

My guess would be contamination of the plastic below not allowing the paint to bite. Did you primer? Is the primer lifting?

Yes primer was used. Adhesion to body is not the problem. Problem is at the top/finish coat letting go a sort of residue
