Gregg Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 I just heard this from the the web: "publication of Toy Cars & Models Magazine after the February 2008 issue will cease, as will Toy Shop Magazine after March 2008"
Guest rick r Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Don't Mean to be harsh here, but it's no great loss. The magazine never took hold of any aspect of enthusiasm for the hobby... it was just kinda 'there', with no identity or message to speak of. That's just not enough today. They had opportunities to raise their game, and they just didn't. Final issue has a nice write-up on the West Coast Precision Die Cast Chevies, though, and we appreciated that.
camaroman Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 I did enjoy the model cars articles in that rag!!!
Guest Davkin Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 No big loss. I used to read it when I was into collecting and modifying diecasts but after I quit doing that it had little to interest me. The modeling articles weren't enough. However maybe this means you could snake a couple authors and some advertising for MCM Gregg. David
rollinoldskoo Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 maybe u can get some suscribers from them too
