Painting and weather..

I airbrush most everything, and indoors. The only thing I use rattle cans for is car bodies. I occasionally see someone mention good weather for painting. I usually step out onto back patio to use rattle cans. Is there certain types of tempor humidity that yield better or worse results? Thanks.

Obviously never paint when it is raining or very humid, whether you paint indoors or out. Temps usually won't affect painting. Warm your spray cans in warm water for a half an hour or so before spraying as it helps the paint to flow better..

Check the humidity before venturing outside. I have found that 30% humidity seems to be ideal. Too dry is problematic as well.

I moved from the midwest to the desert and discovered that painting outdoors in the summer is not a good thing. 5% humidity means the paint dries on it's way to the car. Spring and fall are the best times for me as that's when we have the most humidity.

Temps arent a big deal like Richard said, just no freezing cold weather. 110 degrees is fine as you achieve a "baked enamel" finish LOL!

Warming the can is sound advice.
