Best Paint Tutorial?

Hi all,

A friend and long time military modeler has decided to build a complete set of Corvette models and is having trouble getting good paint jobs. He asked me some questions but it has been so long since I painted a model that I could only give fundamentals but not the latest techniques. Where could I direct him to an available tutorial on model car painting the covers the basics and gives him the latest techniques and materials? An online freebie would be good but any up-to-date source would be helpful to both of us.

Does he have a computer? This is actually the best place for any questions and concerns about anything related to the hobby.

The first one is about preparing the plastic for primer; the second is painting technique. There's some redundancy between the two.
