TurboBJL Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 (edited) Hello Every one! Getting back into model cars after about a 15 year gap. i would build a simple kit here and there. But have recently gotten back into it full force. When i was a kid i had a room full of un-built and partial built kits. i wasn't the best but loved buying and building them. coming from a family of car nuts and being one myself i look at all the details.a lil too much. Going with my father to Carlisle All Ford Nationals in the 90's i would bring my lawn cutting money and buy all these kits at the swap meets. back when you could get a unsealed complete kit for 5-10 bucks. coming back to my fathers Falcon wagon on the show field with a box of 30 model kits one time. lots of memories.now these kits are 20-30 each!!!! ahh! But at the age of 14 i bought my first car and started building the big cars and the hobby was put on hold. i built one here or there, but usually of my actual car. or it would take me years to finish one. been researching a few kits i am building and found this forum. glad to find others deep into this and looking forward to learning the tricks of the hobby and put more detail into my builds. so glad i found this site! and i see modelhaus is still around!!!! here are a few of my old builds of my car my 1988 tbird turbo coupe my current projects while i was at my parents last week i found this in the basement. talk about excitement. a tote filled with some of my old builds.
