I am a real low tech guy, fact is I dont even have a cell phone.

Years back I had a Canon printer that was super - I could enlarge , shrink pictures all very easily.

I want to get another printer or scanner printer to where I can scan a plan, enlarge it to scale or shrink it if need be. Also for making mini diorama posters. Not interested in making decals .

Last scanner/printer I had was HP and what a pile - it did what it wanted and no control over it.No options.

Any suggestions on a setup that you dont have to have a Doctorate degree to operate ?

Hey Sean,

I use "Picture It" that was pre-installed on my computer to shrink or enlarge pics. It is a good ballpark to start with. I've never tried to do that from the printer itself. I then print it out to get the true size. You can make multiple attempts on the same piece of paper if the subject matter is smallish.

I'd suggest to also consider what else may be important to you. When I was shopping for a printer I had a list of what was important to me. One was being able to print on all sizes of paper. The one I got can print up to 11x17. Have I used that yet, no, but I can if I want to. Most little/bargain printers do not print above legal size.

Your printer choice might also depend on how much room you have for it.

I have a Canon that I bought from the local Office Max that I paid $25 for as it was on clearance. It works great for what I need and I couldn't pass it up for the price. You might want to check the clearance items at stores that are similar to OM.
