I'm finding that the satin black takes a full 24 hours to dry without tackiness. Is that usual for this brand or do I have an old can?---of paint that is!

I used the Rustoleum Painters Touch stuff (2x coverage) that took SEVERAL days to completely loose its tackiness. It was semi gloss black if that makes a difference.

You should try Krylon flat or semi gloss black. Dries in 4 to 6 hours at room temp. its normal for the Rustoleum to take a while.

Cato, I use a lot of Rustoleum paints and yes that is normal, and Carl is right about the Krylon products they do seem to dry alot faster, hope this helps!! ;)

Thanks for the feedback guys. Yes, I expected enamel to take it's time but thought this was some sort or synthetic or acrylic enamel.

May try Krylon to see if it gives me the 'satin' look I want.
