Cato Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I'm finding that the satin black takes a full 24 hours to dry without tackiness. Is that usual for this brand or do I have an old can?---of paint that is!
Kris Morgan Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I have found that most Rustoleum takes a while to dry.
TokyoDrift99 Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I used the Rustoleum Painters Touch stuff (2x coverage) that took SEVERAL days to completely loose its tackiness. It was semi gloss black if that makes a difference.
slusher Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 You should try Krylon flat or semi gloss black. Dries in 4 to 6 hours at room temp. its normal for the Rustoleum to take a while.
PappyD340 Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Cato, I use a lot of Rustoleum paints and yes that is normal, and Carl is right about the Krylon products they do seem to dry alot faster, hope this helps!!
Cato Posted March 4, 2014 Author Posted March 4, 2014 Thanks for the feedback guys. Yes, I expected enamel to take it's time but thought this was some sort or synthetic or acrylic enamel. May try Krylon to see if it gives me the 'satin' look I want.
