Ace-Garageguy Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 I bet that hollow bow tie still doesn't make as much power as a red "R" emblem! I think tomorrow I will trim out the blue plastic section of the oval Ford emblem and just leave the chrome surround . Get the kids off the street that F-150 is going to haul !!! : ) Man, youze guys are talking some SERIOUS performance now!!!
Fabrux Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 You know I was sitting in a parking lot today and noticed a late 2000s Buick that had a hollowed out grille emblem. I think all the latest Buicks have that, too. Try as they might I don't think anyone is associating a modern Buick with racing...
Speedfreak Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 (edited) So some news person thought it was a neat story. The bow tie thing is just a small part of the overall car which looks pretty impressive to me. We are living in the second golden era of the American push rod V-8, enjoy it while it's still here, there may not be a third. World class sports cars cost lots of money, $75K is quite possibly a bargin for this level of performance. Edited March 8, 2014 by Speedfreak
62rebel Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 i thought the bowtie already had a function... to warn away potential buyers.
Deano Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 i thought the bowtie already had a function... to warn away potential buyers. You are sooooo clever.
LDO Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Wow. What is it about model car builders that makes them such crybabies wrt new cars?
