I think Tamiya clear red might be running short, I think I heard it was being discontinued, hope not because I use it a lot and yeah it would look great over that color. really nice job on the motor, those headers look like they fit just right. this is going to be a great build when youre done!

I could hear myself saying that about my sisters nail polish if I could have used it in the 70's. You r doing a great job on this build. You can always use Model Master clear coats they are real good clears...keep up the good work...

Model master has enamel and lacquer clears. I use both enamel and lacquer paints. Go slow with the lacquer clear. I mist my coats on..

I think the AWB kits are cool. Good find!

I'd like to see how the AWB that's street driven handles speed bumps. I bet the front jumps like a carrousel horse.

Guys, when you clear coat, do you just lightly cover the paint, then make several coats. Or just do it once, but covering well. I have no experience with clear coating. Also, Air Brush, or always rattle can?

so far now i got the body soaking in a bath to get the paint and clear off needs to be re done o well thats the way it goes

don't worry it happens I just had to strip two bodies and an interior cause im an idiot but oh well live and learn....it looks great so far and cant wait to see the finished product

its a drag to have to redo a paint job, especially one that was going well up until it went south. what I find sometimes though is that if I leave it for a few days (in California where it is dry climate) and then go back and look at it, it has shrunk down and actually can look pretty good even if one ripple might need repair. i used to just dunk it in the stripper tank but then i started having to do that less and less with just letting the paint shrink in.
