Red Interiors....Difficult?

Not to pick a nit, but that dash Harry shows looks like it has padding on it. It's probably vinyl.

Hi guys, I stumbled upon this thread. I am building a 60 Impala convertible. The interior is red of course. The center of the tunnel is salt and pepper red and black. The other parts of the floor are rubber mats. How do I approach this? What shade should this be? My father n law said his Impala, this one I'm building, had many various shades of red. What should the area behind the rear seat where the convertible top stows be? Thanks for the help, John
