Window Surrounds

Recommended Posts

Mask on inside and paint with acrylic paints. I tape an X-acto blade to pieces of styrene, to get the proper "leg" to edge the mask evenly.

This is for the windows. Like the black surrounding, on factory cars.

I think he's trying to represent the visible rubber edge beside the chrome/stainless trim. maybe a paint marker edge-on would work; I seldom go to that length on my kits. wiper blades, yeah..... going back and looking at a lot of my builds, I see where 1:1's would be showing weatherstripping under the edge of the window tops on hardtops with the windows "down" (since almost no kits have full glass).... using dissimilar paint might help prevent the black "rubber" color affecting the silver (if painted) trim when applying. just throwing a few suggestions out there.
