Frankiebe Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Hello All Here is my first post to this forum. I am working on a 50 Chevy pick up, which started out as a chop top experiment. Then developed into a full custom. I pie cut the hood next. I wanted to french the headlights, someone suggested I put overhangs on the headlights. I ended up using buckets from a scrap 57 Chevy 2 door. In my travels I picked up a custom car magazine, in it showed a photo of a 48 Chevy with a 59 Cadillac rear clip on the bed area. This gave me the idea to use the remaining 57 Chevy 2 door, rear clip on 50 Chevy P/U. I am now working on the frame and suspension, looks like it will be like a pro street set up. Here is photo of what I have so far. Frankiebe in Western NY Best Wishes Frank Blonski frankie@quixnet.net Please visit us on the web. www.94nyh.com 94th New York Co H c/o Frank Blonski P.O. Frankiebe Posted December 26, 2010 Author Posted December 26, 2010 (edited) Hello All Well here we are three years later, I have been slowly picking at this project, and here to post some updated pictures. I am almost embarrassed to post anything because this project is taking so long. I have had other projects in between and also started resin casting some of the parts for this truck. Resin casting was always in the back of mind to try, and come to find out its not that hard to do after all. You just have to plan your molds so you can pour good parts.
