Scale-Master Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Something quick and fun; I was in the mood to paint a body. AMT promo. Tamiya Metallic Black with Pearl Clear. Looks fine under fluorescent light, but goes bass boat/dune buggy glittery in the sun. I replaced the badging with decals I made, as well as adding the front side marker lights.
superbike-shaun Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Scale M i love the bass boat/dune buggy analogy! that is a nice quick build (maybe some under flourescent lighting pics?) and some chassis pics while your'e atit? thanks for sharing, shaun.s
superbike-shaun Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 sorry, i meant while your'e at it. shaun.s.
tubbs Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 I hate it when you guys say "quick build"..... just what in the wide wide world of sports is a "quick build" that's 5 years or less in my world.... joking aside, really nice build......
Scale-Master Posted April 29, 2014 Author Posted April 29, 2014 As you can see, without the sun it is a much tamer paint job, and to me much more appropriate. The chassis is just a bland curbside promo unit. I didnt even paint it. I only did a little accent painting on the interior. I'd say I have about 3-5 hours total time invested in it. Considering that it is a complete finshed model, and I often spend entire days making individual parts for another model, "quick build" is the correct description of this one.
