mangodart Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Hi guys, I'm working on a 61 Chevy Truck C70. I'm gonna put a 348ci in it so here's my question : what was the color of those engine block ? Thanks in advance for your answer
mangodart Posted May 18, 2014 Author Posted May 18, 2014 Good thanks, the same as in the car's engine ?
mangodart Posted May 18, 2014 Author Posted May 18, 2014 Thanks, it will be very helpful for the rest of my build !!!
Longbox55 Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 The correct color for the '60/'61 Truck 348 is Gray, not Orange. The Orange 348s were Passenger engines.
mangodart Posted May 18, 2014 Author Posted May 18, 2014 Ok thank you Bill, any pics of an engine from this area maybe ??
Longbox55 Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I'll see what I can find. Seems most of what can be found of that era truck either has had the engines replaced, or they had 6 cylinder or small block engines in them.
