Swamp Rat XXX Questions from a newbie

Ok I am new here and please bear with me if these are stupid questions. I have one of these Revell Swamp Rat XXX kits and was thinking of building it. My questions are what is avaiable as far as detail sets and or detailed parts for this kit? My other question is about the decals. I realize the kit is fairley old. Are the decals worth a darn? Does someone make aftermarket decals for this kit? I have been building models for 30 plus years and have never built a car of any kind. Being a drag race fan I thought i might give this one a shot. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

There are some generic P/E sets of Drag racing details. Check Detail master, Model car Garage. and a few others. I don't recall any sey specifically for that kit though.

Coat the decals with Micro scale clear coat before dipping in water may help hold them together.

I built this kit a couple of years ago and the decals were still in pretty good shape. They went on without many problems. Some were a little ragged around the edges, but some decal solution helped.
