MoparMarc Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 That is one sick looking Challenger!!!!! Love the stripe down the body........how did you do it?
mikelo Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 Great job! I also am interested in the stripe. Great paint.
scubadiver411 Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 That is one sharp Challenger you have there. I love the color and was wondering if the stripe was a decal or not ?? You did a great job combining two different model kits to come up with one great model. STEVE ALLEN
djway3474 Posted January 5, 2008 Author Posted January 5, 2008 If you want to see a close up of the stripe click on the link to the build. Here is how it is done. First I sprayed the car HOK Orizon Silver. I also made a decals in photoshop with wiggly lines in several different colors. I masked off the silver the same width as the decal. I then sprayed the car HOK Rasberry pearl. I then removed the tape and layed on the decal. I then sprayed the entire car with HOK Apple Red candy toner mixed in the clear base. Then I taped off two pinstripes and sprayed them with turnsignal amber. After that I sprayed the whole car with dupont urethane clear. I had a few dust spots I had to polish out then I was done. If you look at the stripe from different angles you see different lines appear and disappear. Its kida cool. Dwayne
m3m Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Awesome car! I love everything about it, but that paint is so neat!
