I bought some Excel light duty #13 saw blades and none of the handles I have (3 different types) seem to be the correct type. They have teeth all the way down the blade and no place to attach itself to a handle. I didn't notice this when I bought them., seems weird to me. As in the following link companies that sell the blades list handles that are 'supposed' to work. I've got two different Excel K1 type handles and a different type x-acto. The blades won't even go in the K1 types and the x-acto will take the blade but will not tighten. Help!

BTW, Widget Supply is well worth checking out, they have LOTS of stuff at great prices AND free shipping over $25! And no, i don't work for them, bummer.

Not sure what the problem is. I just put an Excel #13 blade into half a dozen various K1/K18 type handles from different manufacturers, and had no problems with any of them. The width of the #13 blade is the same, if not smaller, than the tab at the square end of the #11 blade, and certainly no thicker. Only about 1/3 of the blade length goes into the handle, and it really doesn't matter which way the teeth point. I will swap the blade end for end depending on the job I'm doing.

I use the #13 blades quite often, and never had a problem with them.
