On May 31st I attended the Squadron Open House event held at the Squadron warehouse. I felt like a kid in a candy store. This is the second time I have attended this event and it is so much fun to see a warehouse full of model kits and accessories. They had a discount table with amazing deals on returned kits and other miscellaneous items and selected kits were marked down to great prices. I purchased one of the new Meng F-350 kits at (IMO) a good price. I have been patiently waiting for this kit ever since the announcement. When I got home I opened up the kit and was shocked at what I found. The cab was terribly warped beyond my ability to fix it. I was so frustrated at the realization that I would possibly have to contact Meng and go through the refund/replacement process. I contacted Squadron Monday morning the 2nd of June to inquire what their return/replacement policy was. The customer service representative was very polite and informed me that they would send me a replacement cab at no charge. I was shocked at this news because they are a store not the manufacturer. I received my replacement cab June 4, a lot quicker than I expected. I just wanted to share this information with you to let you know that Squadron earned my future business by going out of their way to serve me. Great customer service.

That's a great story. Nice to hear something positive about a distributor for a change. Kudos to Squadron! B)

Now, let's just hope the azzklowns don't abuse the bejeezus out of Squadron (like they have Revell and Moebius) and end up ruining Squadron's good nature.

I have had a similar experience with Squadron. Last year I purchased a Heller Renault 4cv "pie" and the decals were destroyed when I opened the package. I sent them a e-mail and within two days I had a brand new decal sheet. My only complaint with squadron is that they are more military based but I've noticed over the last year they have gradually added more cars to their inventory. Since my LHS is gone I order most of the new releases that I want through them.

Someone mentioned on another board that they were missing a wheel in their kit. But, he hasn't said which set he's missing it from yet. He reported that Meng sent him an email informing him to contact his retailer. The kit does have five five spoke and four seven spoke wheels. The extra five spoke wheel is the spare no matter which set of wheels one uses.
