This is my first attempt to post some photos and a tutorial (fairly new to the site) I watched the video on posting photos to the forum in the how to use this board section.

I took the photos with my Iphone (5s) and I get a error message that the file is to large and it was only one photo. Do I need to compress the files?

PLEASE HELP!!!! :( jwrass

James, I use Photobucket to post my photos. Set up an account (it's free) and download or upload (whatever) the pictures to that account. You can create albums there if you want to. When you are ready to post pictures, you need to start a new post in whatever category you choose. Then:

Go to Photobucket and click on the picture you want to post. When that picture appears, you'll see "links to share this picture" on the right side of the screen.

Click on "IMG" link; it will briefly turn yellow and say "copied". Go back to your new post in the Forum.

You'll see a link icon on the top toolbar (9th from the left, just below "size"). Click that icon

A "Link" box will appear; there will be an space for "URL". Paste the IMG link that you previously copied from Photobucket in that "URL" space, then click "OK".

The entire link should appear in your post, highlighted in blue. Click enter twice (not on the link); the characters in the link should turn blue and no longer be highlighted.

When you are done adding links, click the "preview post" button and you should see all the pictures that you want to post.

It works for me. I hope this helps you. Good luck.

There's no need to click on the link icon after you've copied the photo. All you have to do is right click in the post box, an option box appears and click paste. It's a lot easier.

After you have copied your photo James, click on More Reply Options beside Post and you can preview it to see if your photo worked. If it's there, just click Add Reply.

Buzz, Rodger, Jesse. Thanks so much for all of the information!!! I most likely won't post until Sun or Mon as me and the little woman are going on a weekend get away :P:o lol. The post will be a tutorial on applying composition silver leaf vs BMF. I have been doing Custom Paint, Pinstriping, Lettering, Airbrush on 1:1 for some 40 years. I do various leafing techniques on a regular basis. I think builders will find this to be interesting. For me it's easier than BMF and I think it looks better. After a 30+ year hiatus from modeling I'm back at the bench. I have signed up for many of the modeling sites out there. I am fairly new to this site and I have found this to be the best one for me!!!! I have found everyone to be so helpful and kind. I am starting to make some new friends which is always a plus. Again thanks so much!!!! Jimmy "RASS"

That statement makes me want a 60's gasser really bad right now. There's just something about silver and gold leaf!
