G' Day guys,

A couple of questions for my Ohana's State-side!

Do you think this colour by Testors is a good match for Moulin Rouge?

Just looking at some reference pics I found and I ask question is Moulin Rouge and Panther Pink the same?

I'm planning on painting the Revell Special Edition '70 Cuda with this.

I only use spray cans....one day I will buy an airbrush.

Thanks in advance!

Ray, Moulin Rouge and Panther Pink are the same. I think Moulin Rouge was Plymouth and Panther Pink was Dodge. I know it's hard for camera's to capture that color accurately. So, if the color on the spoon as shown reflects the actual color then it is not a match for the aforementioned colors, but, if in person it looks more like what Ron posted then it is pretty close. Like John said, Testors shows Panther Pink as 'available' on their website in 3oz spray cans, I just checked. Here's a thread with a whole bunch of info on these colors:

Thanks for the response guys, much appreciated.

Testors cans are hard to get in Oz and not many LHS in my area stock them anymore, I guess I can only ask them if they could get some in...

It does look pretty close, maybe I'll experiment using different base coats on the test spoons....

Last year I painted a '70 Challenger using Tamiya TS-22 (Light Green) which although not correct, it was pretty close ;)

Thanks again

Ray, That model looks great! The paint job looks great too. And, yes it looks very, very close.

Thanks Gene!

Another alternative would be for one of your local paint suppliers to mix a batch of your desired colour . In this case , FM3 is Chrysler's colour code .

Good option as well John, cheers!
