redneckrodder Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Looks like your back JT...truck looks amazing
Superpeterbilt Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 That is just flat out awesome. I love it man. On the topic of painting before or after assembly, Ive cone to prefer putting as much of it together as I can and then paint. As Jarda said, when I need to mask a gluing area, I just apply a strip of tape there so theres no scraping afterwards. Its a real time saver. Excellent job!
Mackvision Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Very nice JT! saw many similar 1:1 trucks "back in the day" when I was a mover, friend of mine had a KW C.O.E with a pretty good size drom box on it...............................Mark
BigBad Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 That is lookin' goooood! It's going to be even better with the decals! Nice job man! Still no toolboxes... But excellent nonetheless!
kilrathy10 Posted September 6, 2014 Author Posted September 6, 2014 (edited) Lol....Hey, Robert....I'm gonna get on those tool boxes, pronto.... Edited September 6, 2014 by kilrathy10
Petetrucker07 Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 (edited) Heres a freight shaker or a pete with a drom. Maybe this will inspire you to do another project. Edited September 9, 2014 by Petetrucker07
kilrathy10 Posted September 9, 2014 Author Posted September 9, 2014 Thanks, Clayton.....Can't say I'd really care to tackle that Freightliner, but you KNOW I like that Pete.....That DOES get me inspired.....I like that.....I've always wanted to do a United truck, anyway.....That looks as good as any.....That looks cool....A really serious truck.....
Superpeterbilt Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 That Frieghtliner in the pic looks to be the model that had the motor mounted laid down on its side under the frame. I would build one but without that uggo sleeper on top of the cab. It reminds me of that Dodge van from Napolean Dynomite.
Old Buckaroo Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 (edited) I would like to build a "pancake Freightliner" someday... but it is hard to find any pics. Come ' on JT where is your sense of adventure , build another Edited September 9, 2014 by Old Buckaroo
