Junkman Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 (edited) This is nice! Really nice. I think the old Lindberg big scale kits are the most underrated kits in model history. See my 1/12 scale Luv Bug elsewhere on this forum. Their 1/20 scale kits are also waaay better than their reputation. I can't start my Exterminator before I sourced four hemi heads for it. Harry P. Posted February 3, 2008 Author Posted February 3, 2008 Thanks for the kind words, guys. I actually DO have a little display space available now. Two of my three kids are away at college, and the third one is already out on her own...so my once crowded 4-bedroom house now has a couple of unused bedrooms. Lots of potential display area! Empty nest syndrome...Woo Hoo!!!!
Gregg Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Here that guys? Free room and board at Harry's house in Chicago!!!!!!
Harry P. Posted February 3, 2008 Author Posted February 3, 2008 Id rather be in Hawaii ANY time of year!
Harry P. Posted February 6, 2008 Author Posted February 6, 2008 Scratchbuilt chute pack...corrugated cardboard cut from the box the model came in (!)...wrapped in several layers of masking tape, flaps made of thick paper covered with masking tape, painted with acrylic airbrush paint and Testor's Dullcote. Chute release handle made of paper clip and wire insulation...
HCharlie Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 (edited) That is just beautiful. They don't get much cleaner than that. Charlie Eshenbaugh Edited February 7, 2008 by HCharlie
Junkman Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Wow. Now since you have all the time and space in the world, would you build me one too?
sjordan Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 You've heard this before at other times and places, but you should have saved this one for your Real or Model forum. Great work.
paul@detaildownunder Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Wow that's coming along great! It's funny because I was only looking at one of these kits yesterday at the LHS and wondering if they are any good, yours is certainly tunring out to be a diamond with all those extra details.....Nice Work
