kasteer Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 ok. I'm new here and learning alot. I've greatly enjoyed (and have been awe of) everything I've seen here. I'm also thankful for all the help I've received. So, I thought I'd give back and share my current project... A metalic green 41 Willy's with hinged trunk and suicide doors. This is my first attempt at using hinges btw. Also my first attempt at spark plug wires (I used thin solder, which is very easy to use I think). I left a tiny amount of side-to-side play in the trunk and I epoxy'd a thin piece if wire next to the hing so I can slide it over and let it settle on the wire to keep the trunk open. Raul_Perez Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 That's looking great, Eric!! I wish that I had known you needed spark plug wire. I'd have dropped some in with the windshield. Check out Scale Modeling by Chris for hot rod and dragster detail parts: http://www.scalemodelingbychris.com/page_two.htm He's got some pretty cool stuff and his prices are reasonable. Regards,
Steve H. Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Good lookin' Willys you have there! I like the simple approach, paint wise, as they don't need to be over the top to be noticable!
