Questions about Bounty Hunter F/C reissue

I am pretty familiar with funny cars from this era but my memory fails me right now.

1. The kit comes with a quick change rear axle. Were they still using them during this time period?

2. Was this car a pearl white or just solid white? I'm thinking pearl since it was so common during the Nat Quick era.

Quick change rear axles were very popular In that era (mostly Halibrands) Mickey Thomson and John Buttera were pioneers in this area. Lil Johns highly modified Halibrands were more Buttrea than Halibrand. I think John was one of the best builders of all time and really the God Father of billet. A car built my Buttera was a work of art! Often to good for drag race car, that's why John left the drag race scene and started building street rods, Motorcycles and INDY CARS. I don't know if Connies 1:1 had a quick change in it but it would have fit the era.

Very unlikely that the car was just plain white. Most likely a Murano Pearl. If it was painted out of Don Kirbys shop it most likely was painted by Don himself and lettered airbrushed etc by Nat. Nat worked for Kirby. Much like Mr "J" and Glenn worked for Bob Gerdes at Circus paint.
