Bige37 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 got the engine wired, interior tub is finished but not in the photos and have it mocked up as highboy but I am going full fender!
vwrabbit Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 (edited) Going to be a sweet highboy! Tim Edited July 17, 2014 by vwrabbit
Bige37 Posted July 17, 2014 Author Posted July 17, 2014 Yeah I'm still not sure if I want to make it a highboy or a full fender coupe! I don't have a highboy in my collection they are all coupes leaning toward the high boy!
JTalmage Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 I think in that color it would make a nice street rod with fenders.
Bige37 Posted July 18, 2014 Author Posted July 18, 2014 Yeah that's what I'm doing ill do a highboy another time! I'm having fit issues with the big v8. With the headers on the engine won't go on so I took them off and tried to refit them and now the driver side header hits the steering box I removed that and they still don't fit so I might have to notch the frame to make room for the headers and also without the steering box mounted the steering linkage doesn't line up! This revell kit is a pain in the ass! I had issues on the green 32' coupe I did in April with the grill not fitting glad its mot a show peice
Bige37 Posted July 18, 2014 Author Posted July 18, 2014 I think I might take a break from cars and go back to doing 1/35 scale military again! Give my brain a rest!
Greg Myers Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 I'm having fit issues with the big v8. With the headers on the engine won't go on just need some block huggers i've seen them in a few kits, or make yer own.
Bige37 Posted July 18, 2014 Author Posted July 18, 2014 Those look like 1:1 headers! I'm gonna search my parts box for some different headers
Greg Myers Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Yes they are. Just what you should be looking for. In scale
Greg Myers Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 time to step out into a new faz of building. You can do it Eric, it's fun. http://skidsplace.forumotion.co/t90-building-headers-by-brent
Bige37 Posted July 18, 2014 Author Posted July 18, 2014 So I'm to make either the top pic or the last one? And they will give me clearance from the frame and not hit the steering box?
Greg Myers Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 That's the beauty of custom made headers, YOU make them to fit YOUR need.
Bige37 Posted July 18, 2014 Author Posted July 18, 2014 Thanks for the help! I guess I'll start practicing this weekend!
