angelo7 Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Was there a Kenworth W900 Aerodyne kit made in the 70s in any brand or any edition on this style?
Petetrucker07 Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Sure was. 1 was the movin on tv show truck. Flat top sleeper. Wish it had the flat top. That double bunk is whats keepin me from buyin it. But ill probably get a couple and make the flat tops or day cabs
Petetrucker07 Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 That i dont know. Seems like this 1 isnt very popular. Me personally i do not like the sleeper, im thinkin im not the only 1
ZIL 111V Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Like the K100 Aerodyne , the W900 Aerodyne is absolutely stunning, one of the nicest looking truck of its era... First KW Aerodyne plastic kits (K100/W900) came out back in 1980, '81,'82' (Monogram got the lead on this one!!!) : -Monogram W900 Aerodyne 1/32 SNAP. -AMT W900 Aerodyne 1/32 SNAP. -Monogram W900 Aerodyne 1/25 SNAP. -Monogram W900 Aerodyne 1/16. ...Revell germany could very easiely convert its 1/25 W900 VIT "Flat top" glue kit (based on Mono 1/16 W900), oddly no Aerodyne version until now!?! Monogram 1/25 snapper kit still the only 1/25 W900 Aero available (very nice kit for a snapper just finishing mind! ).
Force Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 (edited) The Aerodyne sleepers came 1976 and the first 1:25th scale kit of a Kenworth W900 Aerodyne was as Paul mentioned, and as far as I know, the Monogram snap kit from 1982 (kit No 1501), Monogram also did a glue kit W900 Aerodyne in 1:16th scale in 1982 (Kit No 2502) and in 1:32nd scale in 1980 (kit No 1205). The 1:25th scale kit is the same one as the latest Revell issue except for color of plastic and decals. AMT/Ertl also did a Kenworth W900 Aerodyne in 1:32nd scale (kit No 6776 AMT/Ertl and kit No 5026 AMT), this was also a snap kit. Edited July 30, 2014 by Force
angelo7 Posted July 30, 2014 Author Posted July 30, 2014 Thank you guys! That answers my question. Back in 1979 or 1980 I did a kit that looked like a W900 and I'm trying to figure out if it was in fact a W900.
