Started building the chassis for this model, the directions are very vague. I was hoping I could get an insight from some of you who have built this model. My question is I noticed a small stack of leaf springs on the sprue 1/8x3/16,does it go somewhere else or is it a spare parts? So far its been a straight forward build, I have read some blogs of bad fitting doors most of them have been glued shut! Guess I'll deal with that when I get to it.

Thanks for any help and info.

What kit is it you refer to?

OK I'm only mildly retarded.

I haven't started mine yet, unless someone tells you specifically, and it looks like it's going together as intended.... leave it and see that it looks like it should. You are right about the instructions, I think the Florida statutes regarding prison assaults makes more sense than those do.

Mine look like they have extra springs. They could be for the milk trailer (not included).

The rear springs are a 2-piece set up. You might be looking at the lower section of the spring.

On the subject of the springs, to give the tractor a more level stance, remove about 1/8 inch from the rear springs and add about an 1/8 inch to the front springs (I used a small block of plastic).

Maybe some eager modeler missed a step, LOL. Those IMC kits were not known to be easy to build. Found a picture of thesub-assembly that shows how the two-piece rear springs go together:

Hey guys thanks for the input. I've got the chassis put together. the piece I was refering to was a little chunk of springs 1/8" x 3/16" its attatched to the sprue, must have been an add-on for something else. thanks again Bob.
