KJ790 Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 (edited) I could make them, but unless there is tons of interest in these the price would be pretty outrageous. Since these are directional rims, I would have to make 4 different masters (left front, right front, left rear, and right rear) and then make molds off of them. Edited August 15, 2014 by KJ790
scale trucker Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 you would only need to do one mold..they are the same rim ..they are not directional
KJ790 Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 you would only need to do one mold..they are the same rim ..they are not directional On the real trucks they were directional. The drivers' side and the passenger's side were opposites: To accurately depict them you would need to have at least 4 different molds, one for each front wheel, and one for each rear wheel since the lug nut detail would be different between front and rear.
Hessel Hemstra Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 I could give it a try in 3D printing. I would have a look at the cost. Sent a PM if your interested. Hessel the Netherlands
Hessel Hemstra Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 With our club we have several types of rims for sale. Italeri tires will fit them. With some drawing I came up with this. If you can give me the measurements of the holes I can make them better. The hub can be made as well if you give me some directions. It can be 3D printed at a reasonable price. The surface is not entire flat but with some paint on it that problem can be solved. Hessel
